HJA Construction Solutions was founded in Canton, Georgia, with a focus on one thing: finishing basements to a standard that most contractors simply do not reach. What began as a commitment to doing excellent work for a small number of clients has grown into one of the most trusted basement remodeling companies in the North Atlanta Metro.
John has been working in residential construction since the 1990s. His passion for creating quality structures is what drew him to the trade and what has kept him in it for nearly 30 years. Claudia brings a designer’s eye and a genuine love of the craft to every project, working closely with clients to develop spaces that are as beautiful as they are functional. Together, they have built a business that reflects who they are: hardworking, honest, and deeply invested in the quality of what they create.
As the designer and General Contractor, they work hand in hand with every client to deliver the best possible result, from the first design conversation to the final day of construction.

Meet Claudia & John
Claudia
Designer
Claudia works directly with every HJA client to develop the design for their finished basement. She guides the entire creative process, from space planning and layout to color palettes, material selections, and finish choices. Her work does not stop at concept. Claudia produces full photorealistic 3D renderings of each project so clients can see exactly what they are getting before a single product is ordered or a single wall is built. Her ability to translate a homeowner’s vision into a detailed, buildable design is one of the things that sets HJA apart from other basement remodeling companies in the area.
John
General Contractor, Co-Founder
John has been working in residential construction since the 1990s, and his passion for building quality structures is what has kept him in the trade for nearly 30 years. He is a proud combat veteran of the United States Army, Infantry, and the discipline and integrity he developed in service carry through to every project he manages. John holds a Georgia Residential Building Contractor license (#RBI003804) and is personally present and accountable on every HJA job. He does not manage projects from a distance or hand them off to a superintendent. When you hire HJA, John is your General Contractor in every sense of the word.
